Objectives

  • Organize monthly public meetings to support caregivers and family members  through counseling and lectures.
  • Establish contacts between families, caregivers, professional workers and people with dementia. Distribute manuals, brochures, help sheets and other written material; both in English and Arabic.
  • Provide information and disseminate it throughout Lebanon and the Arab World. Raise public awareness through the mass media (Television, radio, newspapers).
  • Raise awareness about Alzheimer’s-related issues to the public, the government and long-term health providers to attain growth in state support services.
  • Lay the foundations for the creation of the first Alzheimer’s specialized Nursing Home for Lebanon and the Middle East.

Overview

ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION LEBANON was created as a non-profit organization with the mission of improving the quality of life for people with dementia and their caretakers and with the primary objective of raising public awareness throughout Lebanon and the Middle East.
