27 July 2011 Press Conference – Launching of the “Capacity Building Program” and National Outreach Strategy
Alzheimer’s Association Lebanon in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs
the Ministry of Social Affairs starts its mandate with a nationwide program  concerning Alzheimer’s disease
AAL launched its “Capacity Building Program” and National Outreach Strategy with a press conference at the Ministry of Social Affairs. It not only had an excellent turnout from the press – some 40 journalists, including TV – but also an active participation of Minister Faour and the President of Health and Social Affairs Commission of the Parliament, Dr. Atef Majdalani. Both stressed that they were united in supporting Civil Society in general and Alzheimer’s Association Lebanon in particular in its fight against dementia.

Hoping that this would be the first step into reaching out to develop, one day, a “National Strategy for Dementia’ in Lebanon; and later on in the Arab countries!
