February 17 Workshop – Training Session
A workshop was held in the Lebanese Order of Physicians targeted at 10 private nurses for “Home Care Lebanon”.

The program was conducted by:

Dr. Nabil Naja – brief description on Alzheimer’s disease.

Ms. Fatima Nasser – on the importance of occupational therapy, and

Mrs. Diane Mansour – on “dos and do not dos” on how to deal with in many aspects of daily life with people with dementia and on the preservation of dignity!

The workshop was concluded with an active interaction and the distribution of packages of 14 leaflets in the Arabic language to all attendees.

More than 80 people attended; a very active interaction took place with questions and answers

To be noted that Dr. Martin Prince (Professor of Epidemiological Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry in London) and Gunhild Waldemar (Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Danish Alzheimer Association.) were present and intervened with their comments.
